It’s hard to celebrate a holiday—any holiday—without on-theme decorations. With spring just around the corner, we’re sharing our favorite Easter decorating ideas that will both deck out your home (nothing cheesy, we promise) and turn you into a DIY expert. Let’s jump in, shall we?

The only potential downside to holiday decorations—especially ones you’re making from scratch—is the opportunity for tackiness, so when rounding up our favorite finds, we were extra cautious to avoid any such decorations. In fact, all of our discoveries are so charming you may be tempted to leave them up all year round. We even included a few you can eat! Think Pillsbury’s famous crescent rolls stuffed with a cream cheese mixture and topped with flowing herbs to look like fresh carrots, a bunny-shaped cinnamon roll complete with edible ears and a tail, and more.

As for the Easter decorating ideas you may not want to eat, there are plenty. The best part? Anyone can make these, so even if you wouldn’t consider yourself a master with a hot glue gun, you’ll still be able to make these sweet ideas a reality. So if you’re hosting the soirée this year, don’t forget to make your space feel warm, welcoming, and above all, festive. From a white tablecloth dotted with pretty paint along the edges to a floral masterpiece that celebrates spring colors, the tablescape ideas are nothing short of perfection. There’s something for every nook and cranny of the home, though, so if your party will take place outside, you’ll find lots of usable decorations ahead.

Deceptive Carrots

Bunnies may be the most Easter-centric motif of the day, but carrots are a close second. That said, decorating the kitchen with raw carrots may be a bit unappetizing—literally. Instead, whip up a batch of crescent rolls filled with cream cheese, chives, parsley, and other herbs. Take a peek at the recipe here.

Because these Easter eggs are piled on top of each other, we wouldn't recommend using real ones. Instead, opt for a wooden set. Paint them mint green and sky blue, and then speckle them with a dark brown. Lastly, pop in a few branches donning faux blossoms.
