To celebrate his recent move to New Orleans, interior designer and Magazine Street shop owner Ware M. Porter hosts an intimate get-together that reflects the revelry and lushness of the Big Easy.

"If it’s too serious, I’m not interested. The table should feel luxe and a tad naughty,” Porter says. The mix of bold patterns, soft colors and varying textures brings interest to the table, from every angle.

In addition to the stunning peony arrangement, the long, tapered candlesticks are a focal point. "They tower above people’s heads, giving a little twinkle and drama to the table," he says.

A lush centerpiece balanced with pops of color from the dinner plates and macaroons make this table fit for brunch — or a celebration of any size.
