Designer Bryan Rafanelli might be known for his pro-bono work decorating the White House for Christmas — but he also created a winter wonderland theme for House Beautiful that can inspire decor in not-so-famous homes this holiday season, too. And to prove that his expert ideas are totally doable for the average DIY decorator, House Beautiful's Editor in Chief, Sophie Donelson, created a holiday tablescape of her own in Rafenelli's vision.

To get her Queens, New York home party-ready, Donelson employed a fresh green-and-white theme — with pops of yellow as an extra festive surprise (who says your decor has to be red, gold, and plaid?). Bunches of paper snowflakes create a whimsical collage over the buffet, and pillar candles and pedestals mimic the snowflake's varying heights.A gold table runner acts as an anchor for florals and other fun personal items are scattered throughout, including a ceramic rabbit and an elephant door stop.

Donelson bought these paper snowflakes from Luna Bazaar. They were only $2 or $3 each and they\’re reusable!
