Growing up, my Saturdays consisted of waking up to loud music and the scent of cleaning products in the air. It was essentially an alarm clock my mom set up to let me know it was time to join her in cleaning the house from top to bottom. Cut to today, and I can't clean my home without thinking about what my mother would say! So of course, when I was offered the opportunity to review Kris Jenner and Emma Grede's natural cleaning line, Safely, I knew I needed to see if it was truly family-approved and up to her standards.
While countless celebrities have created their own cleaning products, Safely's 2021 launch centers on ensuring homes are safe and spotless while smelling incredible. The Safely Clean Hands Kit set I received included the brand's Hand Soap, Hand Sanitizer, Hand Cream, Universal Cleaner, Glass Cleaner, Everyday Laundry Detergent, and newly launched Dish Soap. The environment-friendly products are free of artificial stabilizers and dyes and feature plant-powered ingredients with natural aromatherapy scents.
My Initial Thoughts
After unboxing the Clean Freak Kit, I opened each green plastic bottle and sniffed, bracing myself for an abrasive aroma to hit my senses. Instead, I leaned back in surprise that the products smelled like my favorite candles. Safely offers two signature scents, including Rise: a floral fragrance with notes of orange flower, violet, bois de gaiac, and drywoods. The second, Spring, is a blend of jasmine, violet, heliotrope, combined with a base of musk, amber, sandalwood, and patchouli. While my mom and I were both impressed by the pleasant aromas, we knew rolling up our sleeves to clean would show us if Safely was truly effective and worth using.

Does Safely Work?
As someone with sensitive skin, I was interested to see if the Everyday Laundry in Spring would be too harsh. The outside of the cap marks how much detergent you need for each load. Though I am in love with the scent (amber notes get me every time!), I suspect others might find the powerful smell a bit overwhelming. I poured a medium-sized cap-full onto my soft sheets, turned on the washing machine, then set off to clean the rest of the house while I waited for the load to finish.
My mother and I split our tasks—I cleaned the windows with the Glass Cleaner and she wiped down the tables using the Universal Cleaner. The active ingredients made to remove life's simple messes worked pretty well. (Beware that the two bottles are pretty similar in shape and color, so it's possible to accidentally spray glass cleaner on your coffee table!)

For the dishes, we worked together as a team, washing and drying each item. My hands felt a little dry after cleaning, so I tried the Hand Cream in Rise. To be honest, I wasn't that big of a fan. The scent of each product smells differently depending on the form, and my family and I found it overpowering in cream form. To make up for that experience, I went to check on my laundry and was happy to find the room filled with the blissful scent of Spring.
Would I Recommend Safely?
What I like the most about the brand is that it's not only effective and sustainable, but also makes cleaning smell like a trip to the spa. And refills are available in recyclable bags, to boot! Just remember that a little goes a long way for every product in the line, especially with the detergent, hand soap, and dish soap. Each product gets the job done, and the clear labeling allows you to see what products you're using around your home. My mom is impressed that the collection smells great and performs well, and is looking to incorporate some of the products into her own cleaning routine.
If you don't like scented products, I wouldn't recommend Safely—but if you're a fan of fragrance, it's definitely worth a shot (Spring would totally convince you!). The brand's sweet-smelling products are sure to rival your strongest candle. And with prices ranging from $6 to $14, the celebrity-approved collection is extremely affordable. Thanks to Kris Jenner, you can finally add luxury to boring chores!
