For an International Oil Executive living in the posh neighborhood of Memorial in Houston, TX, this dull, unorganized office space was less than desirable. Designer Nina Magon transformed this dark office into a bright, energetic, multi-purpose space that allowed the owner to not only get work done, but enjoy time with his family.

The office was divided into 3 areas—the office, a library and lounge area. The wood wall paneling and dental moldings were painted white and wainscoting was added to the existing molding to create a lighter, brighter workspace. The desk was custom-made to be functional for 3 people, so the executive and his kids could work together. The existing fireplace was replaced with a gorgeous Carrera marble surround and the worn out carpet was switched for sleek hardwood floors. Coupled with a chandelier, cowhide rug and rock coffee table, varying textures give and instant dose of luxury.
