We'd bet money that you have this room in your house: The home office with shelves, drawers and a workspace specifically designed to keep everything in its place. Except...nothing isever

in its place.

Tracie, the blogger behind Cleverly Inspired, had ths exact problem in her office/craft room. None of her materials or important items were within reach, and the stark decor was totally uninspiring.

Tracie wanted to work with her existing scalloped built-ins, and knew a fresh coat of paint (Simply White by Benjamin Moore) would immediately make the space more serene. A strategically-placed mirror fills a bare area, and reflects light to brighten the room even more. But it's the finishing touches that add both form and function: Glass jars, coordinated boxes, and a clever spot for scissors keep the mess to a minimum, and look great among other decorative touches.

Tracie's wrapping paper rack is another stroke of crafty genius. An old door destined for the garbage now keeps her paper tidy with just a few hooks. (Learn how to make your own here.)
